I fell in love with Louis MacNeice's Autumn Journal over a decade ago.  My nature does prefer trees without leaves and a fire in the fireplace.

 

Life's moments are better appreciated for having spent some time in the bleakness and chill of autumn... like the wondor of Easter after the forty days of lent's austerity.
